Abstract

This is the long awaited new edition of the highly successful book among students and professionals on statistical design. The text treats the most important subjects in this area and now has a more practical format. The chapter dedicated to the response surface methodology deserves special focus as do the sections containing real applications of the different design methods discussed in the main text.

With more than 20 years of experience in teaching chemometrics to hundreds of students in the exact sciences and engineering at different universities as well as administration, medicine, biology, pharmacy and food technology, the authors have united a set of design techniques that can be learned and applied, with more or less frequency, by all professionals that need to perform experiments .
